Getting started — first drawing in five minutes

1 · InstallClose SolidWorks, run the installer, click through. It installs the SolidWorks add-in and the desktop app.
2 · Create your accountOpen MachIntell Design Copilot, choose Create account, confirm the email we send. The first user is the company admin and can invite colleagues.
3 · Open a partStart SolidWorks and open any part or assembly. The desktop app shows Bridge: connected.
4 · AskType “Generate a drawing of this part”, or “Create an 80×60×10 plate with four M6 holes”, or click Verify open drawing.

The copilot proposes; you approve. Every action that changes a document is listed before it runs, and anything risky asks for confirmation. Review generated drawings before release — the built-in verifier helps, but you remain the checker.

Silent installation

MachIntellDrawAI-Setup-<version>.exe /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /LOG="%TEMP%\machintell-install.log"

Installs per machine to C:\Program Files\MachIntell (add-in) and C:\Program Files\MachIntell Design Copilot (desktop app). Users sign in with their own work email; no per-user configuration is required. Uninstall: Apps & features → MachIntell Design Copilot, or "C:\Program Files\MachIntell\unins000.exe" /VERYSILENT.

Proxies: the desktop app and add-in honour the Windows system proxy (WinHTTP / HTTPS_PROXY). TLS inspection proxies must allow the two hosts above or the sign-in fails with a certificate error.

What leaves the PC

Feature lists, dimensions and bounding boxes of the open model, your chat text, screenshots of generated drawing sheets for review, and files you explicitly attach. Native SolidWorks files are not uploaded. Details and retention periods: Privacy Policy; processors: Sub-processors.

On-premise

Enterprise customers can run the AI service on their own server; the same installer is used with /BACKENDURL=https://drawai.yourcompany.local. Contact sales@machintell.ai.

Updates

The desktop app updates itself (checks every 4 hours; signed packages only). The SolidWorks add-in is updated by re-running the installer — the desktop app tells users when that is needed.
